Seeking Life: Reorienting Ourselves Toward Resurrection (an Easter mini-retreat online)
“[T]he angel said to the women, ‘Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised.’” - Matthew 28:5-6
In the wake of burnout, loss, or seasons of struggle, it can be hard to believe that life still awaits us.
Yet Easter’s promise calls us to seek life anew.
Join Callie Swanlund from wherever you are on Thursday, May 15 (noon - 3 pm ET // 9 am - noon PT) for a time of connecting with the Holy and with your very own self.
In this online retreat, we will reflect on the invitation of resurrection: “What are you looking for? He is not here but has risen.” Together, we will explore how to reorient ourselves toward life, how to move from depletion to renewal, and how to embrace the wholeness that is already unfolding within and around us.
Come with whatever you carry.
Leave with a renewed heart, a sense of wholeness, and the courage to seek life again.

WHAT YOU’LL COME AWAY WITH
Though we are gathering digitally, this day is much more than online worship or a webinar. Callie will set the tone for our time so that you may enter into a retreat-like state and take a pause from “business as usual.” Through guided reflection, embodied prayer, and nourishing conversation, you’ll be invited to step into the joy and possibility of resurrection—not just as a distant promise, but as a present reality. Whether you are seeking restoration after burnout, clarity in a season of transition, or simply a deeper sense of aliveness, this retreat is for you.
QUIET DAY SCHEDULE
The Easter Quiet Day will be hosted on Zoom from 12 noon - 3 pm ET on Thursday, May 15 (that’s 11-2 Central, 10-1 Mountain, 9-12 Pacific, or 5-8 PM in London!). We encourage you to set aside space and join us for the entire time; we’ll send out tips for creating home altars and ways to extend your retreat before or after our time together.
12 pm - 1:15 pm ET: Gathering #1, including opening meditation, reflection time, and interactive session
1:15 - 1:35 pm ET: Open time for nourishment and rest
1:35 - 3:00 pm ET: Gathering #2, including interactive session, reflection time, and closing meditation
LOGISTICS AND COST
To create a true retreat atmosphere, we invite you to find a space for the day where your mind can be focused, your body can be rested, and your soul can be stirred. All that’s required is a computer or tablet (phone is okay but not ideal) and a strong internet connection, but headphones may help you to better engage. Surrounding yourself with some favorite things—tea/coffee/snacks, a candle, blanket, journal, cozy house shoes—and dressing comfortably is encouraged! As humans who oversee pets and children and other things, we understand the demands on your life and will have great compassion for distractions that may arise.
In the space of this retreat, we commit to embracing antiracist principles, and strive to be inclusive of all ages, abilities, social locations, and more. We offer a special welcome to those who are LGBTQ+. This event is for all genders. You can note on your registration form or reach out directly about any needs for accommodations related to dis/ability.
The cost for the Easter Quiet Day is $55. Please be in touch if you’d like to contribute toward another person’s registration fee or if you’d like financial assistance. Those individuals with continuing education or professional funds can use those to register; an email receipt will be sent.
Note: When completing registration, you’ll select “add to cart,” then you’ll need to select the cart/bag icon again to pay and check out. (Otherwise your registration will be incomplete and we won’t know you wanted to join us!)
We hope you’ll take a pause with us to let your mind and heart wander.
